There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you...

what'sghostwriting?
Ghostwriting. Sounds mysterious doesn't it? There is always a certain level of intrigue when I tell someone I am a ghostwriter. And while I do enjoy the shroud of secrecy that the title provides, I will tell you simply that ghostwriting is the act of a professional writer, writing on behalf of another person. A person may hire a professional writer to pen various literary genres, speeches, or other types of content. Much like a ghost, the professional writer is invisible and doesn't receive credit for the work unless it's agreed upon.
It is my belief that we all have at least one good story in us. You may find you lack the skills or time to write it down. These issues are pretty common. Anyone who has a need to write or a story to tell can hire a ghostwriter. But, of course, the devil is in the details. Below are the services I provide in addition to ghostwriting. If you've ever thought, "I've always wanted to write a book" (or anything else for that matter), you're in the right place. Send me a message and we can discuss the details. I'd love to hear your story.
Ghostwriting
Ghostwriters are masters at adjusting to varying content topics and book genres.
They write works of fiction and nonfiction, memoirs, business topics, speeches, blog posts, and everything else in between.
It's more than sitting down and well, just writing. They will do extensive research, listen to your story and adopt your ideas. Ghostwriting is the art of communication, the power of observation, critical and creative thinking, and a strong foundation in technical writing. Developing an idea into published works takes dedication, focus, and a whole lot of heart.
Book Doctoring
Book doctoring or as I like to call it, literary surgical intervention, is a combination of developmental editing and ghostwriting. A book doctor reviews a completed manuscript, points out areas of weakness, shows you where you can express yourself more succinctly, and helps you to look at your work from a distance. They then take your ideas, reorganize and rewrite them, while still respecting the author's true voice. All of which will help the manuscript get one step closer to being published.
Editing
Editors focus on the details that shape a polished, professional manuscript. From developmental and structural editing to line, copy, and mechanical editing, each stage serves a different purpose. Every book is unique, and a good editor will help strengthen clarity, consistency, and flow while guiding the story toward its full potential. The goal is not to change the author’s voice, but to refine the work so it is as strong, cohesive, and error-free as possible.
Manuscript Critiques
A manuscript critique is a professional, big-picture evaluation of your work in progress or completed draft. Rather than line-by-line edits, it focuses on structure, pacing, character development, voice, and clarity. You’ll receive thoughtful, constructive feedback on what’s working, what needs attention, and why. A strong critique helps you see your manuscript through a reader’s eyes and gives you clear direction for revision before moving on to editing or submission.
who'sthere?
Me.
I've always been a writer. From the time I could write sentences I was coming up with some crazy story or writing some form of poetry. As I grew older I became fascinated with words and the way other writers threw them together. I needed to understand the deeper meaning behind what they had written (if there was one, that is). I envisioned their head as an egg and me cracking it open to find the answers I so desperately sought.
My desire to understand the human mind led me to become a ghostwriter. I believe we all have a unique story that needs to be told... deserves to be heard. And while I do write many genres, I specialize in memoirs. From creation to completion, helping you tell your story, your way is my ultimate goal. After all, the world would be a much better place if we all had a better understanding of each other, don't you think?
What can I tell you about me? I am a military spouse to a recently retired Army Colonel. We have three children who keep us on our toes, along with a dog and two cats (of course). Though we are originally from the New England and New York areas, we have given up the cold for good, settling into the endless summer of Northern Florida.
